Used since 2004, the Information System on Organic Agrifood Products (SIPAB) successfully utilizes a variety of Web technologies.

Available to the world, the SIPAB is an information system with centralized, structured data on certified organic products everywhere, the companies holding a compliance certificate for these products and the accredited certification bodies under the control of the Committee on Accreditation for Evaluation of Quality (CAEQ), an independent accreditation body of the Conseil des appellations réservées et des termes valorisants (CARTV).

The SIPAB improves information management at various levels with respect to the organic sector. It is the result of collaboration between the CARTV and accredited certification bodies. The SIPAB is an important decision-making tool, since it provides relevant, reliable and up-to-date information.
